I will be in biloxi in July for a night and was looking for a good place to have dinner. Not really sure on type of meal but will have a date with me. Thanks in advance.

Why don't your date a favor and not go to Biloxi? A shithole.

She got tickets for us to attend something there. But I will need some food before. Biloxi is never my choice. I rather spend the weekend in NOLA

If I'm willing to go to biloxi then she is worth the meal. The mary mahoneys place looks good. May be the place we end up

Not sure how far you are willing to travel, but Trapani's in Bay St Louis is quite good. Still one of the best crabcakes I've had. I go just for these. There's also a great place in the Gulfport area that I can't recall the name. I bit fancier than Trapani's, so maybe that's what you're looking for. It's an old fashioned white house type building on 190. If someone here knows what I'm speaking of, please inform me.

I was done with mary mahoney's the day they gave me hidden valley ranch dressing in a packet. There is no excuse for upscale restaurants to do such a trashy thing.

BR Prime and Jia at the Beau Rivage are two good restaurants but they are pricey.

Half Shell Oyster house is more casual and I haven't had a bad meal there.

Best BR Restaurant IMO
but it doesnt hold a candle to Walt's Buffet

Is Jimmys place closed yet?

While a nice setting, I'm not sure I'm going back to Mahoney's either. Good, but not great, but still charging high prices.

I did think the lunch situation was a better option though.

yea Half Shell is very good and nice casual atmosphere
BR Prime was one of the best steaks i've ever had
but make a reservation you might not be able to walk in, one night the wait was 3 hrs.
Stella's was also good but not Prime good

Another option would be to go over the bridge to Ocean Springs. Take her to Phoenicia.
