2007 loss to Arkansas was pretty damn maddening...at least for a couple of hours until West Virginia choked it to Pitt.

Mine wasn't ultimately even a loss.

I had to be somewhere, but was waiting for the end of the game. The ball was hiked over the head of JJ against Tennessee on the last play and I cursed, threw something, and left in disgust.

How can that not be the unanimous answer here?

That game was a slow build-up of utter disappointment. It's a stain on the success of the program. I was most mad in the late 3Q when it was crystal clear that the offense under JJ wasn't going to happen. To this day, I don't understand why JL wasn't at least given a series.

I was still more mad, in the moment, at the end of the UT game that we actually, technically won.

Losing to Rebs 26-23 in 1969. This was a great LSU team that should have played for the National Championship. It still should have except that Texas backed out of a tacit agreement to meet LSU in the Cotton Bowl; the Longhorns took advantage of Notre Dame's decision to end its policy of not playing in bowl games. The Longhorns really should have lost to ARkansas in what was billed as the game of the century. The Rebels beat the hell out of ARkansas in the Sugar Bowl; the angry Tigers voted to stay home in protest.

1/9/12 the day that will life In Infamy.
It feels like that GF that cheated on you. You still love them and want things to go back to the way they were, but there is always that upsetting , empty feeling inside. You think of the good times but it's always overshadowed. That's how ill always view Les and that season.

the revenge game against Alabama in 2012...if you went to the 2011 national championship, like I did you knew we weren't gonna win that game the first fricking quarter. After the 2012 game that was the most irrational I've ever been as an LSU fan

Yes, Oklahoma State blew that game to Iowa State, but they also blew out Oklahoma in the Big 12 Championship. They played the "extra" game.

No they didnt. Big 12 didnt have a championship game. That was the first year of them not having one. But I do agree after what they did to stanford in the Fiesta bowl, we should have played them.

That game that ended the 2011 season where it looked like we didn't practice and most of the players were drunk. I don't remember much about it other than I was madder than I've ever been.

A very close TIE for second were the 2012/2014 Bama games that we had in the bag only to go full retard on the final drives (defense) in regulation.

Other than the obvious one really kissed me off. Kentucky...forget the exact year. Scott ran for almost 100 yds in first half only to get 2-3 carries in 2nd half IIRC. Also we didn't try to get to their QB at all and he picked us apart...USCe sacked him 7x the next week.

Auburn 7-3 in the most obvious fix by refs in recent memory.

To this day I've never seen pass interference waved off for db contacting the ball first downfield.

Well believe it or not; I was upset with 1-9 but since I have been going to games since 1976 at 6 years old- I never thought we would ever be at a point where we could even play for a national championship. For me it was 58-3 against Florida at home.

I grew up with 8 win seasons toward the end of the 1970's and a roller coaster in the 80's. 7 to 10 wins and 1 to 7 losses. The 90's is when everything exploded 8 wins to 2 wins; being hopeful when a win against Arkansas in either 92 or 93 could have put us in a bowl with a 6-5 record; alas we couldn't stop the running game and loss 42-24 despite Chad Loup starting 13-13 passing. Plus a majority of the time I had to watch us in home purple. I suppose the most modern loss would be 1-9 but I would have to consider UAB when Booty was calling plays not in the playbook. At that point it did not look we were going to change but it seemed to change the next week against Tennessee and never looked back to the present. USC 79 was bitter but I was amazed at the student section packed following the game chanting "LSU, we're proud of you" and the players had more intensity and effort against a clearly superior talented opponent.

The overtime win at Alabama is the one that made me the maddest.

Wut?

Because we went on to be undefeated and #1, SEC champs etc and still had to play Alabama a 2nd time for all the marbles.

I'm still ticked they got a rematch after losing at home

They had an axe to grind after that loss, we had everything to lose and we did in the title game.

So that win at Alabama ended up being a net loss for LSU and a plus for Alabama.

Jordan Jefferson or Jarrett Lee? Give me Lee

Our greatest season with so much controversy.
