People who are filing for this money are no better than the ones with Obamaphones, wasting ebt on steaks, and talk during movies.

Did the businesses that filed claims ever actually get paid money? I know some did in the beginning, but then BP took it to federal court to have the settlement thrown out. My understanding is BP lost - but they never really started paying claims again after they lost their petition. Is that pretty much everyone else's understanding as well?

There is no end to the depths people will go to get their hands in the pot. Earlier this week during lunch I learned of a local attorney that was gathering people to make claims right after the spill. Had to send paperwork in and see if they got approved. A paving contractor I know just got a phone call about submitting more info. I don't understand how they had a loss at all from the spill (I know them). Same people can be overheard bashing other people for doing the same kind of shite.

And this is happening in Ellick. Trash gon' trash.

That I don't know. Many business were 100% effected by this disaster. However, 99% of the posters in here were not. One poster is whining that he couldn't use his fishing camp as he pleased for a summer.

Welcome to the give me America.

I had to take an alternate route to work the other day due to a weck. It really inconvenienced me. Who do I send my bill to for my free money?

We had a small class action filed in 2012 w/ BP. It primarily consisted of fellow sportsman that could and did prove that we made annual or bi-annual trips to affected areas of gulf coast to relax and fish as part of our vacation and that lifestyle was altered and the group of lawyers proved the case and we all walked away this spring with a nice check.

I wouldn't be bragging about that. I bet you complain about too many people on welfare in this country? All while spending your gubment check.

I sold a piece of medical equipment to a surgeon who claimed he was paying with BP money. Now how is a surgeon's office in New Orleans negatively effected by the BP spill? I still took the money though.

There have always been earners and takers in society. Sometimes it takes special circumstances to show ones true colors. We can clearly see who the takers are and finally see them for who they are, leaches.

Don't forget to sign up for y'alls Obamaphones too.

Eta: obviously not directed to you Sal.
