I stay in the quarter at least a weekend a month. I try and visit one new restaurant during my stay either for breakfast or supper. Last weekend the new restaurant was the Rib Room for breakfast. Wife and I ordered off the menu before the brunch started. I had a filet omelet that was the best omelet I ever had. The bloody mary's was also the best we have had in the quarter. I found out they infuse the vodka.
Others I have enjoyed was Galvez. Been there 4 times and never had to wait. It is located next to the RR tracks along the river and it is a second floor restaurant. It has the absolute best view of the river. I could sit there for hours and watch the boats, ships go by. The food is 7/8 out of 10 but the view is 11 out of 10. We ate there in April with the window open. The cool river breeze made the meal. Pay one price for endless bloody marys and mimosas.
I have been to Eat on several occasions. Enjoyed the soft shell crabs for brunch, they are a special so they don't always have them. Always had to wait unless you get they right when they open. No alcohol served but they allow you to bring your own, so we make two 64oz. bloody mary to enjoy.
