What kind of fishing line do you use?

I been using 30lb Power Pro braided but thinking of giving something else a shot.

40 lb power pro, the 30 is too light and knots up too much.

30 lb power pro, the 40 is too heavy and casts like a rope.

I have a couple reels spooled with power pro, several more spooled with Suffix Braid, and recently spooled 2 reels with Fins windtamer braid.
So far, I like the Suffix best; ive had less wind knots and less line breaks using it. Least favorite is the Powerpro- its a really stiff braid and I find that it digs in a little more than the others. (I admit I have never tried the Powerpro super slick braid though, so can't compare)
ETA: no heavier than 20lb, and most of the time I am using 10lb braid. I only fish inshore, so don't need anything more. I have 2 bull red setups with 40lb, but only use them for fishing Ride the Bull in August.

For years I've used 12-14lb mono, never tried braid but next time I respool a reel I'm going to give braid a shot.

I don't know about anyone else, but I hate the super slick. I'll never buy it again. Knots like a sumbitch.

Depends on the application. I use mostly mono but have been using braid more and more. I use 50# power pro on my jig, punch rig, and frog rods.
I recently made a bream fishing trip to Henderson. I usually use a light spinning rod n reel with 4 lb mono. Was fishing worm under slip cork. Had problems with the line coiling up and forming loops. Not too big of a deal, but it was annoying. I bought some 15# power pro (4 lbs diameter equivalent) and I'm never going back to mono on a spinning reel again. The cork even slid up and down a thousand times better on the braid. HUGE difference.
ETA: I realize OP is discussing inshore fishing. The same applies for my other spinning rods. Will probably change them all over to braid.

Same as my bass gear.
12 to 15 lbs. Berkley Big Game, but in saltwater I use a 30 lbs. mono leader.

Water is looking better but all the rain has it on the rise again. Haven't taken the yak out lately. If like to take it out, but with my wife being very pregnant I need to be able to make it back in a hurry in the event of an emergency.

In the past my speck rig had 15 lb mono but i have been switch over to 30 lb braid. I just spooled up my trolling rods with 50 lb mono on the squall 60 lever drags and will be putting 60 lb mono on the 6/0 senators. Bottom fishing rigs and heavy spinners are spooled with 80 lb power pro braid. This will be the first year with this set up so we will see how it goes. I also have a perch jerking spinner with 15 lb braid and it is awesome for slinging some perch into the boat and not having to worry about 4-6 lb test popping.

I personally like 30 pound power pro. Depending on the situation I will add a flouro leader.
Comment on Power Pro super slick.
Pros: Improved casting distance, it has a noticeable difference between classic and super slick
Cons: Prone to break, Need to frequently check for abrasion and retie, short life span (does not last as long as classic braid), easily knots in the wind, knots will 'slip' off of the hook and break off
I will not personally use slick any more but if you are looking for casting distance it is tough to beat. If you are fishing flats where fish are spooky it would certainly be worth considering. (just tip it with a flouro leader and you are in business)
