Here we go. I have no interest in smoking weed but it doesn't "lead" to anything.

It sure does when it is illegal. Kids are warned how dangerous it is and then they try it and see it isn't a big deal. Since they have been lied to about weed they think other drugs will be fun and not a big deal.

Irony. He isn't saving kids. Keeping it illegal allows kids to get the stuff. Legal weed is not getting sold to minors.

Citizens need to wise up. These cop are the crooks and liars.

No more houses, cars, bank accounts to seize and sell, plus losing out on grants for equipment and drug task forces. Violent crime doesn't pay out nearly as well as drugs do.

What does this have to do with this?

I'm not sure if they really believe this or they just say it to put on a show to keep their funding

The answer to my question is no one is going to cut funding for the Sheriff's office whether he puts on a show or not. The sheriff's office is funded through property and sales taxes. People would have to move out the parish or stop buying shite there. Why people would want to live in that dump is beyond me but they are increasing population and I'd venture to say that not having the drug dealer living in your neighborhood ups the property value.

Any grants they get would be related to showing seizures of a currently illegal drug and demonstrating to the Federal government a need for additional funds. If weed is legalized (and it will be one day), those grants will still be there for meth, heroin, cocaine, anti-terrorism, etc.

As far as seizing assets, I'd love to know how much is seized from the average LP weed dealer especially the guy that has an ICE hold, I'm guessing not much.

Weak arse talking points don't help the narrative of the pro-legalization stance no more than some one talking about marijuana overdoses.

Serious question

How many motivated pot heads do you know under the age of 21?

C'mon, man, LP = harboring Mexican contract killers, weed dealers, McDonald's disrespectful of the military, snarling up traffic on the interstate, the Walker Walmart, Walker PD blasting radar on 12...what's to like?

Here is a news flash for you, in states where it is legal more people buy from the black market than buy from stores because it is cheaper.

Maybe. But it's getting less every year. Colorado has had recreational for 16 months. It's growing (no pun intended). That comers from the black market. Slowly, but every step is good.

And now the cops can focus on those people. Nothing will be perfect.

If they taxed it like a normal product they could compete a lot better

That's a big problem. The tax on rec is too high. But the pols are in charge. They could blow the whole thing up in smoke. Frankly, I predict they will.

You in AZ, right? How is the medical working? How does it work? Is it easy to get a recommendation.

Actually, sure did

Didn't smoke pot while there. Not really sure about your line of questioning but I'm sure it's glorious.

Did you have the "traditional college experience?" i know many engineering, pre law and med, accounting, and finance majors that smoke pot daily. it's not a big deal.

Like I said, to each his own. Some kids can handle it, some can't.

But I don't think it's a no problem drug.
