Only time I bust out in the morning is when I'm on vacation.

to drink in the morning after a night shift. A group of us used to go to Louies and have a waffle and pound a few longnecks once a month.

Yea I understand that. When I worked emergency I used to have a beer in the morning after I got off work.

And I also get that airport drinking is different rules.

I'm sitting at an airport now and was eating breakfast about an hour ago. There were at least 4-5 people with either beers or wine at 7:15 am. Think these are people that just got off some red eye flight or do people really drink that kind of booze with their pancakes? i probably travel by air 4-5 times per year and can't recall seeing much of this on prior flights.

When flying, I'll always get a drink in the morning.

I'll also drink in the morning when on beach vacations or tailgating, or when special circumstances dictate such a thing.

ETA: Not sure how I forgot fishing, probably because of all the beer

I thought it was understood that you cannot be judged for drinking at an airport, no matter what time of day it is

This is the OT.

To fit in you have to judge people.

Drywall guys, concrete finishers and brick masons are notorious for all-day drinking.

I was flying out from Pittsburgh super early a few years ago and a bunch of frat guys came in to the terminal all with coors light or whatever. Figured it was a bachelor party or something. Still, my stomach needs time to wake up in the mornings, and beer would never be an option.

I never fly without some type of "sedation." Typically some form of anxiety pill and two glasses of wine; time of day is irrelevant.

Every morning, without fail, I see one or two people buy 1-2 tall boy beers and PPP it open. Typically they drive trucks and appear on their way to a manual labor job.

Along with painters. It helps steady their hands in the morning.

Still curious if these people bust out the wine at home when they wake up?

Not wine but some Baileys in my coffee is perfect. Got some now.

Also flying for vacation 5:30AM you bet I'm having a beer. I'm on vacation after all.

There are a group of men who sit out in front of the convenient store near my school every morning and drink beer. It makes it hard for us to convince the kids that education is important.

In a perfect world, that scene would encourage kids to stay in school.

You can't judge peoples drinking habits at an airport. Airport drinking is way different than non airport drinking.

Yup. Even if my flight is at 7:00 am, you better believe I'm having a drink beforehand.

OMG 4-5 drinking at the airport in the morning!! Guess what, people go on what's called vacations. Who doesn't drink at the airport when you're headed to the beach?

For you to wonder if these same people drink at home at 7am is pretty absurd.

If you're going to be on an airplane all day, you pretty much have to get a bloody mary that morning
