frickin beautiful. I like when my tax dollars go to that kinda stuff. Makes me feel safer knowing them dudes do that kinda shite during the day to be prepared to protect us here at our desks playing on the OT.

Love the A-10.
I'll never forget the first time I saw one. Was working on my lake place in Vernon Parish (home of Ft Polk) when I heard this strange sound approaching. Two of those things came over at about 100 ft alt. Had never seen anything like that at all - thought they were ugly. Have heard them fire their gatling gun a few times when I was out closer to the firing range - awesome sound.
I came to love the way they look after I found out how bad-arse they were. I cannot believe the DOD is considering eliminating them.

It's a gun with a heavily armored airplane built onto it. It has to be one of the longest lasting jet air crafts in the US military.

I love that they basically built an aircraft around a huge arse gun. Hear those things flying around east of Fort Polk all the time.
