They were if they drafted him at 44. I know Sean would have too. No way I believe the NFL didnt tell teams to stay away(which I dont necessarily blame the NFL for doing)

I have a hard time seeing him beat out Free right away. For his rookie season it will probably be Guard or bench. He can play Guard for a year or two, and take over for Free, who is 31 right now.

I meant they didn't put forth any effort to sign him whatsoever. The Cowboys did what had to be done, had him over to the owner's house and brought in the starting QB and other veteran players to ingratiate him, then offered him a guaranteed 3 year deal. It's a no-brainer for him to take that deal.

You have no idea if this is true or not. You can't kidnap him and force a visit

All of this, except I've always thought he stays at guard. I think he can be a good OT, but think he has All-Pro potential at G. Unfortunate we coulnd't bring him in because he would have given us a young elite line for years to come. Ah well, I'm glad he found a home after such an unfortunate situation.

How do the Saints let him get out of Louisiana? I think they will come to regret this failure to keep Collins home. How often are you gifted a top 10-15 draft pick for a $50k bonus and only a half million a year.

My heart tells me the Saints fricked this up; my head tells me Payton and Loomis know their shite. Oh well. Don't get it.

Well you can but we didn't use any of the 9 opportunities we had for that.

Can any of you actually believe that Collins, just maybe, didn't want to play for the Saints. Gasp! I know right! The nerve of him picking the team he feels the best place to succeed.

Saints trade Khiry Robinson to Dallas for Ronald Leary, their starting LG from last year.

Exactly.

The Saints didn't really want Collins and Collins might not have had any interest to play for the Saints either.
