Sad that "Arts" is above "Education"

pretty low scale for today's wages, anyhow it's not so much how much you make as it is how much you keep, how much of those extra earnings are going to student loans, and for how long?

this is a hippy study by the way - the goal is to show blacks don't possess privilege.

I feel bad for a lot of the people in my graduate program who bought into the sheep mentality because the vast majority of them are making well below the median for our major while I'm just over getting them checks and remembering all the fun I had in grad school while they inhaled the smell of our professor's farts like it was the key to success.

I'm retired from the Army and don't have a degree. With my retirement included, I fall in the top half of the Engineer scale. Guess I just picked a good job. Of course, I'm not 25-29 either.

I thought all the engineers made 6 figures right when they left LSU?

Lets say the average college degree costs $100,000. Well if you were to invest that at 18 while earning 7% and leave it until you were 65 you would have over 2.4 million. If you earned 10%, which is what the stock market averages over a long period of time you would have over 8.8 million so..........

These studies are so dumb with no control group or comparisons of similarly qualified people. If college did not exist, the same talented people that go to college today would still make much more than their peers.

The talent/work ethic distribution will always be normal.

I think it's much higher than that.

Those average annual wages for college grads appear to be a bit low.

Weird that they lump architects and engineers together. I've read some articles recently that said architecture is a relatively low paying job considering the difficulty/education required.

I love how this is a Georgetown study. The cost of attending there would sure as shite eat up some of that $1 million.
