Same here. I've never understood why people want to have sex ith someone who was fricking someone else the night before. I've never dated two people at the same time. I'd give them an ultimatum after a few dates. If I wanted to date someone, they either wanted the same thing or didn't. It's not that difficult.
You're under the impression that you have to be banging someone to date them. I've dated a lot of girls over the past year, more than the rest of my life put together. I only had sex with two of those girls, and one I was in a relationship with.

You're trying too hard to be the tough guy here, we can see you really love this girl. Put a baby in her.
ETA: two, to, too

Are you going to the prom with her?

Not yet, but after the "let's just see what happens" talk, that's going to be what "happens".

married my present wife in less than a month. 24yrs and counting. She either is or isn't.

So do that...move on.
Again...and maybe others here with a bunch more life experience than you will back this up...but if you don't know within a few weeks AT LEAST that this is a person you could at least TRY and be exclusive with to see if it's something special than it's one of two things.
1- They're not the one
2- You're incapable of knowing the answer to #1 and therefore are no real good to anyone yet.
But really...what I asked in the last post is a genuine question...what do you want out of life? If it's just serial dating then you ought to just say that up front and be done with it. MAYBE you'll find lightening in a bottle and someone will change your mind. but if you are truly looking to eventually settle down with the right person, than someone who seems to care about you asking you to be exclusive should not be a problem...it ought to be what you'd want. There's nothing that says a few months from now if you know it's not right you can't eject...

OP: You need a father in your life. The O-T (collectively) isn't a particularly good substitute for a father.
(I'm not volunteering, I'd rather have drowned any kid of mine than they'd have liked Auburn.)

You sound like a guy who frequently yells DUVAL at your high school parties

Give the op a break. I dint know details, but maybe they have busy lives/schedules which could be affected by "getting serious"
yea, i dont get it. 1 month isnt shite. It's not like he told her to frick off, or even that he wants to bang other people. Expectations and commitment is taken to another level when she mentions that. Maybe he doesnt want that yet.

First off, dads are way overrated. Most of them are shitty and just give kids more issues than they prevent.
Secondly, don't knock the advice in this place. So far in this thread alone the OP has been called an idiot and a fagot, this kind of tough love is exactly what he needs right now.

I dated my ex-wife for four years before getting married. I wanted to make 100% sure, and it didn't work out in the end. I know I shouldn't make someone pay for her sins, but any sane person is gonna be gun shy after that.

Something about the addition of this word in this post made me laugh...
That being said, I tend to agree with you. My wife and I both knew within 2 weeks that it was us. I literally was joking with her last night that I'd never REALLY dated her or asked her out even! Were were set up on a blind date and hit it off so well that we were just together from that point on.
We were genuinely talking about marriage a few weeks in...that was 1994. We got married in 1996...it'll be 20 in January 2016.
Sometimes, if you're VERY lucky (and I'm the poster child for winning the Marriage Lotto) it happens that way.
Congrats to you, btw...you know what I mean.

Sounds like you have the emotional range of a tree and shouldn't be dating anyone until you get your own shite figured out.

Good looking women don't. Lets see a pic of her and I will tell you why she did this.

Good lord man...how about next time you provide a little history before posting? Kind of hard to give advice when you leave shite like this out, champ.

I thought it was common knowledge that I was a divorcee. Sorry
Posted on 5/7/15 at 10:16 am to jvilletiger25
sounds like you are the problem. it doesn't take 4 years to get to know someone well enough to decide to marry them. Hopefully this woman wises up and moves on to find an actual adult to date.
Posted on 5/7/15 at 11:15 am to jvilletiger25
Dated my first wife for 4 years before getting married. We were divorced within a year. Dated my second wife for 6 weeks before getting engaged. We married 4 months later. It lasted 8 years before ending in divorce. I've done both ends of the spectrum and ended up with the same result. Moral of the story, marriage and serious relationships (love for that matter) are for suckers. Be single, casually date, bang them until you get bored then move on to the next, enjoy life without commitment and expectations and you'll be a happier person. Tell her to find a different sucker to fall in to that trap. Find her best friend and bang her because that's what she would eventually do to you anyway. You're welcome!
