Super solid picks. Both great character guys, which is a very much talked about but underrated trait.
Well done Saints!

Brees needs more time to throw and we needed help in the middle of the D. I'm wondering if they move either Strief or Peat to G...

I've gotten progressively more upset with the Peat pick as time has passed. God, what a fail...

Agreed. Lots of armchair GMs complaining that their mock drafts they read didn't come to fruition. If you think he's going to be a dominant left tackle for your future you absolutely grab him as a cornerstone. I was all about guys that can play early but dude looks like a major talent.
It will be nice for Brees to have a legit blue chipper at LT for his twilight years, and our next qb to have an established force protecting his blindside.

I can't argue w/ the Peat pick. Certainly, OT is not as much a position of need as other positions. I think had Beasley or Fowler been available at #13 (and certainly Fowler was not going to be), they would picked either. They may have expected Beasley to be there at #13. The other "edge rushers" (presumably that is a new position that has been created by draft geeks) -- Dupree, Gregory -- that perhaps merited such a high selection position, had too many question marks. Dupree is not necessarily a "can't miss" prospect, if there is such a thing. The other pass rushers probably didn't warrant in their minds such a high pick. Hopefully they can pick up Harold today, maybe even Hunter.
