Be completely honest with yourself here.

1) Does the picture truly offend you? (Serious question. When you see that picture, do you think it's passed around because people think less of the race depicted in the image in any way? Or is it just a kid doing a funny dance with commonly used slang [at least by the African American community]?)
2) Do you think this woman would have done or said anything if there was not an opportunity to sue? She may have been offended, but do you really think she did not know the financial situation of the "offender" and is exploiting that?
3) Do you not think $100MM is absurd!?!?!?!?!?!?

You are forgetting (I think) that she had a hard-on for the company.
If the pic was a meme making fun of Asian drivers and she was Asian, the same situation could exist.

The point was he messed up by giving her "bulletin board" material.

And no, she'll never see $100M.
