Normally I don't care for the blaze, but I came across this article and I thought the guy explained how stupid these protesters are pretty well

Pay hourly wage earners $15/hr and watch all goods increase to offset the higher salaries; making the increase a net 0 effect.

I chose a career that I knew would for the most part pay me enough to live above the poverty line.

The best fast food workers I encounter in my area are high school or college kids. They work hard when they are not stoned and they know it's a temporary job that they will leave in a few years for better things.
Raising Canes, Chick Fil A, and Izzos are notably better staffed than your average Burger King or Wendy's.
McJobs are where people work while moving on to better things. It is where they develop their soft skills and manners and learn responsibility.

I guarantee you that if minimum wage is increased and businesses start automating everything, the gov't will step in and make a ridiculous law forcing businesses to have a minimum number of real employees.

I would think as a corporation McDonalds would automate. Corporations usually find away to make up for that profit loss like big tobacco did after all of the law suits. I could be wrong though...I often wonder why places like google, facebook, apple etc don't pack up and leave the bay area just because the work force would cost half as much elsewhere....

Get rid of the waste!
Make the counter user friendly, with touch screen service the customer can use. Automate many of the things in the back, getting rid of many positions.
A McD's could be run by three people, drive thru, cook, and manager.
