Yeah, Doc gets annoying sometimes sure, but he's one of the best in the business and it's not even debatable.
I mean, he's only won a National Sports Emmy for 2011, 2014, 2015, and the NSSA Sportscaster of the Year in 2013, and was SI's sports media person of the year in 2014....just terrible.

Yep, no ones perfect but he does a pretty sweet job. Especially when one considers how quick everything is moving during a Hockey game. During games sometimes, for laughs, I try announcing here & there. Boy, that's tough talking that quick overtime! Especially when a bunch of turnovers started happening, or craziness around the net action was in overdrive, long continuous play, and other factors made announcing in real time a serious chore. Probably takes countless hours of practicing to get good enough. Doc sure cracks us up sometimes with how describes what's going down so we're glad he's doing both game 7's.

Hockey is probably the hardest to commentate on...at least play by play.
