The QB position has directly caused us to lose one National Championship and not play for atleast one more. I would take an AJ McCarron or Tim Tebow QB over anything LSU has put on the field since 2008. Zach being the only exception, even with two #1 WRs Zach couldn't get better than 10-3.

Regardless of what fans say, there is an underlying problem with the way quaterbacks are coached. You don't have this long of a run and just blame it on the players. Ohio St won a MNC with their 3rd QB.

Pretty sure anyone would take two QBs who were NFL draft picks over two QBs who weren't.

2008 - Redshirt freshman
2009 - True sophomore
2010 - shite QB
2011 - SEC Champion QB
2012 - Future NFL QB
2013 - Future NFL QB
2014 - True sophomore

It's a team game. Mett was a very fine QB and he had top quality receivers, but he didn't get to the title game at all due to shortcomings elsewhere on the roster.

Can we really say with certainty that's entirely to do with coaching? Or maybe, just maybe it has to do with th character of the kids that's have been recruited in the past?

Go back to Periloux and start from there. You had Zach Lee, a commit that chose to pursue Major League Baseball and has been pretty successful in that arena. Around the same time, Periloux is kicked off. Since then, with the exception of Mett, it's been a complete shite storm of low character, semi athletically gifted kids. Lee didn't have the stones, Jefferson didn't have the head. Jennings has the stones and head, but nothing spectacular in talent. If you listen to the rumors, Harris had all the talent last year, but not the head. So can we truly blame everything on the coaching? Or do the players carry some of the blame? Say what you want, coaching can't always corrcet bad behaviors.
