Who has been lately?
Ate lunch there Monday. 2 hamburgers and 2 drinks =$4.00
Yea they said they had a large to go and it messed up the kitchen so we ate for free. Waited over 30 minutes and my Burger came out cold, hell the cheese wasnt even melted.
They have been hit and miss over the last couple years. Its a shame since I really enjoyed some of the food here.

How does it compare in quality to Mooyah, Five Guys, Maxwell's Market, and Brewbacher's?
I still think Brewbachers on Drusilla is still one of the best burgers in town. The others you listed are all good in their own ways and all are better than Times.

Hard to say on some of that. I've had a great burger from the Times, and then again I've been underwhelmed.
But they're always better than Five Guys, which has to be the most overrated burger establishment I've ever come across.

This restaurant shut down about 2 hours ago!! Was there Friday night visiting a friend who had been there 6 years & moving on. Was just saying we didn't think it would last

They finally closed the place down ?

I have no clue how Times and Copelands right there are still open. I used to work for a company that did health inspections and I will say Copelands is absolutely filthy in the back kitchen. They don't clean shite. I will never eat at that place.

Yes. Tonight. Just got word from roommate & verified thru other people.. It shut down around 6:00pm tonight.. Never thought the food was anything special. There was 1-3 menu items you could go here and get and not get anywhere else in br. And they were just mediocre. One of those menu items wasn't on the menu anymore Friday!! The pepper jack cheese sticks. Soo much better than regular ol mozzarella sticks!! At least they tried..

Times Grill fricked up when they moved out of the Jones Creek area location. They were killing it over there ..

And the people saying it's always dead.. It's packed during lunch! It's a busy arse street. Always packed at lunch. Night time business is a fail but it's because it's a business street more than around too many neighborhoods..

There were two times. One on Essen and one on market street (jones creek area) they were killing it when they opened there on market , but for the last couple years on market it was terrible it was always empty.. And that place WAS by neighborhoods.. Now they are both shut down ????I think the maker street shut down 3-4 years ago

Times shut down? Well...damn! I guess we will not go now! ...unless you were talking about somewhere else (Times, right?).

I wonder what will take its place? That's a valuable piece of real estate

The staff is what killed that place. Service was rarely better than decent and sometimes the food was great and sometimes not. Inconsistencies in the service/food, hurts businesses.
We used to go there to watch MNF and they started running us out of there, before the end of the games. If you advertise MNF specials and you have a bar that doesn't close until later, why not just let people finish watching the game or don't run MNF specials.

They got screwed over on their rent at that location. Landlord spiked it shortly after they started doing well. Necessitated the move.

I remember seeing this posted on here before about Times. I know a few other restaurants that advertise games too, but then they close at 9:00PM. I don't understand it
OP: Consider it a blessing. The majority of this thread didn't have glowing things to say about Times, so I assumed that deterred you regardless.

I am manager at universal plaza (the place where they rent out from) they did not renew their lease and plan on moving closer to LSU. Pretty good burger but not much else.
