And I don't think Jennings will be requesting his draft grade any time soon, either. He's not a gunslinger. Just put the ball in a spot where the WR can make the first guy miss.
I'll f'n settle for AJ not throwing it 5 yards over people's heads in the flats. This whole "make em miss" thing is practically Pro Bowl demands for what we have.

I laughed pretty hard at this post.

When his throw doesn't die like a wounded duck and take half a quarter to get to the receiver's hands, I'll feel better. Go back and look at some of those back shoukder throws Mett used to make. AJ just plain and simply is not strong enough to make them. But someone else is.

Only once did he field a defense on par with what Bo Pelini put out on the regular.

Chavis is as good as his talent level. He did just fine from 2009-10, very well in 2011-12, and terrible from 2013-14.
As are most DC's in the country... I can't believe you can say this.... BTW the same can be said about Miles and the talent he has to work with....

You know what I meant. As far as his own skills, what does he have to work with?
Jennings is limited with regards to innate ability but is the more cerebral player. No reason he can't have a Mauck/Flynn type season.

Which don't mean crap unless you can perform... Haven't seen much of that ...
You're asking me to quantify talent. That's the only way to do it.

Mett was already developed.. He just fit into Cam's offense... But since Cam hasn't done crap with a qb at LSU..........
Mett himself disagrees with you. In 2012, he couldn't hit a deep throw to save his life, overthrowing wide open guys by 2-3 yards. Cameron corrected this pretty well in 2013.

He does not have the leadership qualities that Mauck/Flynn had... I don't ever see that coming. He has ZERO confidence in the pocket and his choices on the field when a play breaks down is pathetic.... There is more to being a decent QB than just stats......... You are dreaming if you think AJ is gonna come in and be as good as those two... AGAIN due to QB play LSU will suffer through another 8 win season.... Its as simple as that and I hope I am way wrong....

Agreed. Jennings is a terrible fit for Cam's offense. Harris is ideal. Cam recruited Harris, and inherited Jennings.
Apparently after 5 games last year, Cam decided it was more beneficial to scrap the entire offense and roll with Jennings than to run his offense with a true freshman EE.
But to think that Cam doesn't want to run his offense with the QB he recruited is retarded. To think Miles doesn't want the OC that he hired to run the offense that got him the job is equally retarded.

You hope you're wrong?
LOL that's usually the case..

Yeah, that's bullshite. Criticize his play all you want, but Jennings is a smart kid, dedicated to improving and has the respect of his peers.
He's made himself the leader of the team, regardless of what you choose to see.

You think Harris, with a year less time in the system and 12 fewer starts, is more knowledgeable about the intricacies of the position and knowing how to execute the offense?

Miles still has his hands on the offense...BIGTIME,, Cam does not have the freedom you think he does..........

If only he didn't have to throw the ball. Smart, dedicated, committed...whatever his mentality, he still can't throw.
Strong arm and accuracy >>>> leadership skills

Does he have telekinesis? Can he throw with his mind?

I hope Harris has both of those qualities. We know he has the arm. I don't think Jennings is the answer at QB myself.

than who? he's not shown good decision making ability for being so "cerebral"

I disagree. He has a lot of work to be the leader of this team IMO.
