Well, if you have a pile of Ubisoft games to play on PC, you'll probably end up putting your PC back in storage
But let's see, past nine months. Here are some of the mainstream blockbusters, in no particular order or genre:
Dying Light
Battlefield Hardline
Dragon Age: Inquisition
Evolve
Sims 4
Alien Isolation
H1Z1
COD Advanced Warfare
Dragonball Xenoverse
Civ beyond earth
Borderlands: pre sequel
Tales from the Borderlands
Ryse: Son of Rome
Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor
Just all I can think of. Others can add to the list. But damn, that is a depressing list.
EDIT: I'll add that these are not "can't-miss" games, just major ones that were released. You can put Ryse in the crap pile for sure, though. Middle Earth is worth a play-through, especially since you appear to be a fan of the assassin's creed series. Gameplay is similar, with combat mechanics similar to Arkham series.

Thanks.
Just added these to the list since they're on sale on steam:
XCOM: Enemy Unknown
Spec Ops: The line
Sid Meier's Pirates
And:
Dragon Age: Inquisition
Battlefield Hardline

Dying Light - Good until the end when they went jump puzzle crazy
Battlefield Hardline - Haven't played
Dragon Age: Inquisition - BUY THIS
Evolve - Don't do MP much so didn't buy
Sims 4 - Didn't buy
Alien Isolation - I hate stealth
H1Z1 - Didn't pay to beta test
COD Advanced Warfare - The best campaign of all of them yet.
Dragonball Xenoverse - Didn't buy
Civ beyond earth - Bought, not impressed
Borderlands: pre sequel - didn't buy
Tales from the Borderlands - Didin't buy
Ryse: Son of Rome - Didn't buy
Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor _hated this game
Buy Dragon Age Inquisition. That's the only game I can think of in the last 9 months that held my attention.
