It is difficult to officially cook and serve Friday night while starting to cook and prep for Saturday as well as just getting everything ready and having a good time. Friday has traditionally been for the teams to hang out together and party, but now it is becoming a party for everyone. Many teams have plenty of food and drink out there Friday for themselves and are willing to share. We don't have the time or resources to go through full service and everything, but are willing to give some away to anyone offering a small donation.

Other teams have started doing private events for additional fundraising. I think the Mannie Fresh entry fee was $20 while the porque du soleil event was $250. These will always be around, but usually are open to the public. The only truly private events are typically teams that use Friday night as an appreciation party for their sponsors who make it possible for them to be there.

Friday will never be a big food service night like saturday. You will see more teams putting out some food on Friday and I think you will see more teams advertising private events (buffet style food/drinks/DJ's/bands) with tickets/entrance for sale to the public, but it will never be even close to on par with Saturday.

Well said. I dont think the general public has any idea just how much work and effort the teams put forth. Its amazing.
