Takes a good bit of maturity by a freshman to handle that kind of emotional swing. LINK

He'll get better. He's put on some good weight and Coach Ball will have him on point.

Not surprisingly, there are some dumbasses in this thread.

TQ will be great before he leaves LSU.

Kid is gonna be a star for us real soon. So damn proud of this kid. One of my favorite Tigers. Hometown kid, one of our hardest workers on the team, never hear any trouble out of him and gets it done in the classroom with the best of them. If you guys remember, one of his best traits coming out of HS was his route running and work ethic, and we all know how Coach Ball is a technician. So far I've been hearing how he's been turning some heads. Says a lot to say he kept the faith even after the rocky moments as a freshman. Can't wait till he gets his time to shine.

Like TQ but Tyron johnson will take his slot spot.

He's too good to keep off the field

The fact that he even saw the field as a true freshman is pretty impressive. Same for Harris.

im looking forward to seeing both in the future.

He had the opportunity to put Bama away with a catch, twice and he did not make either catch. One was easy. One was a tougher catch.

He will have other chances.

Good thing same doesn't apply to qbs.

Not to mention Amati coopers drops during the same game.
If I remember correctly Brandon lafell and OBjr had drop issues as a fresh... They seemed to both work out ok.

TQ’s drops hurt vs Bama. And I don’t have a problem with Diarse playing ahead of him.

What I have a problem with is Les’s stoopid policy of ‘benching’ someone for fumbles and drops. And all the more when it’s applied unevenly. Shouldn’t DB’s get benched when they don’t make an int when it hits them in the hands? Why was PP7 benched after his fumbled punt vs UF in ’10 or OBJ vs UGA in ’13?

I don’t ever recall Jarvis having the ‘drops’ – maybe one he could have caught vs UW in ’12. But I do recall OBJ fumbling (embarrassingly so) vs UF in ’12 and then following it up with a drop on a critical play at the end of that game. I also recall Bowe having the drops in ’05 and LaFell in ’07 (worst case ever). But don’t bench’em. Give them a chance to redeem themselves. JC, Melvin, and TQ were effectively benched after a drop/fumble. Only common denominator to these was the opponent – Bama.

All make mistakes. Competitors relish the opportunity to redeem themselves. When Les parks someone after a play, then either he doesn’t understand the heart of a competitor or he thinks that the player isn’t a competitor at all.

Great attitude. He will be just fine and be a four year guy. Excited to see him in the future.
