Don't buy this. LaCanfora is stirring the pot. He reported this in less words yesterday and right after that the legitimate insiders said that the saints are working on an extension for Lewis now.

It would be doing some damage to this team to send Lewis off. He's been an loyal as they come and he's here on a very good deal. You ship him out and you're looking for another starting CB right off the bat.

Because he also "leaked" that Payton was done with Galette (which another source later said we were trying to trade him so I thought it might be true) but now I'm thinking either Canfora is either stirring the pot or we are intentionally leaking him bull shite to make him look stupid.

It's okay to be upset about someone being traded, but Lewis needs to keep remarks that undermine or can divide the team off social media. Very immature for him to have done that. Hey Lewis, think before you push send next time, dumb arse!

The guy played through basically having use of only one leg while we were still getting schellacked. He came back to LA and took a lesser contract than he could have to come home. He isn't a prima donna who needs bis pockets stuffed, he just wanted to be respected.

I could see both. I've always had the impression that he's the type of guy that sees a potential situation and tries to make a shock report in order to get clicks. I.e., Reggie holding out, so he'll re-enter the draft. Saints cutting/trading players, Lewis complaining about contract; he'll be cut/traded, but I'm the only one that has the info bc teams were asked to keep it quiet. Sees SP & RR arguing on sidelines, RR is done w/ the organization.
There are several more, but these jump to mind when I see his name.

Could be sniffing out a rat. Give different people different pieces of information, then you know who is telling whom by what is coming out in the media.
