some melted butter, maybe. scallops are my favorite so I love them plain

I don't typically but have had dishes where they were served with a white wine or lemon butter sauce.

I liked to sear them in a combo of blackened seasoning and butter, so once cooked, no.

the first two are just as lolworthy as ketchup

I don't 'dip' them in anything per se, but i'll make beurre blanc sauce to go along with them.

I make an herb-butter sauce with shallots, parsley, butter, garlic, white wine, etc.
