That was a fast ball right over the plate. I have about 5 good jokes from the past few pages that I've stuck in my pocket.

I don't know if it was this thread or a different one, but I said that racism exists everywhere, including within the County PD.
It does but because of it blacks probably get away with a lot of stuff because police departments are forced to go out of their way to not seem racist

White privilege has been recognized.
Now sit the frick down.

Wait, the arrests were bad? They weren't doing anything? Ferguson PD officers were performing Terry stops without reasonable suspicion or probable cause?

I couldn't believe what I read...I thought no way

So what you guys are saying is, you want one police department that is 7 percent black (Ferguson) to be replaced by one that is 10 percent black (STL County PD)? I don't think that'll fit the agenda, guys. LINK
Yes, Both Stlouis County and St.Louis City are globally recognized for their academies and their training.
They are already in some ferguson type areas.
Case in point Jennings, they had a Ferguson type melt down, but no Michael Brown type incident, and Mayor got rid of all the cops, brought in County, crime went down 40+% in the first year.
So yes, it would be completely different.

Who is committing most of the violent crime?
I'm gonna guess no one but blacks.

You might need to keep up with things like that if you want to call people racists.
Remind me. Who did I call racist?

All right, was that Jennings police takeover and ensuing 40 percent drop in crime a result of happy citizens, or non-enforcement of the law resulting from stand-down orders from the state governor? I.e. -- like what happened when STL County took over Ferguson briefly.
I imagine the crime stats were pretty good while STL County cops stood by and watched the Ferguson miscreants loot and burn.

Dude, I don't know how many times I have to say it. I don't care what the make up of the County PD is. They are better trained, have more $$$, are better equipped, attract the better individuals. That is why I think they should take over the FPD and many, many other municipal PD's. None of that has to do with race. Might not fit other people's agendas but it fits mine.

No doubt there is a lot of crying wolf about it.

Y'all crack me up. You are so defensive when it comes to racism you get blinded. I don't think y'all have read a thing I've said.
While recognizing (not saying agreeing or disagreeing) that the DOJ report included racial issues, it also included issues that affect everyone regardless of race and those are the issues that concern me most. Yet white privilege. Oh, and I am privileged. I'll be the first to admit it. Now let's see how fast y'all make that a racial issue too when I only admitted I grew up privileged, not necessarily because of my race.

I'm sorry, dude, but re: expanding the STL County Police jurisdiction to take over "many municipalities"... do you think those high training and hiring standards and flush bank accounts are going to continue with a greatly expanded mission?

Not all of them but absolutely. And those things happen irregardless of race before you go there. And yes, I recognize that it happens in other departments as well. I would like to think it happens less with County officers, though I'm sure it goes on there as well.

And it's not just a race thing. County handles Wildwood, Fenton, Valley Park off the top of my head. All predominantly white neighborhoods.

You do realize they've been arresting those people right? They were choosing when and where the battle would be fought. Their decision could have been right. It could have been wrong. But I don't think it's fair to characterize them as having done nothing.

I personally apologize to all those bound by the chains of bondage. If you were a slave I will give you 25% of my net woth and be your bond servant for my remaining days. I will also give you my white daughters for an offering to your fires.

Crime went down in Jennings, because better trained cops were on duty. They interact with public. Have demonstrations at local schools. They are 10000x better trained.
If Obama/Holder/Nixon give orders to allow the looting, there is nothing the County Chief can do. Both the Missouri High way patrol, City of St.Louis, St.Louis County, St.Charles County, and other munis are forced to stand down, they will stand down.
No one has forgotten about what Nixon/Holder/Obama did, with the orders to let it burn.

My Dutch ancestors weren't slaves, but is the daughter offer still good?
