I know I'm biased but really? He's not as good a runner, obviously but in terms of a pure QB? Maybe I am too biased.

No you're not. Cam has really inconsistent footwork and struggles to regularly deliver an accurate ball.

His style works b/c he doesn't have to keep scoring to win games and gets great field position.

Matt Ryan has the potential to be a part of the next tier of elite QBs after this one rolls out

I forget who said it but I think it was someone on this board... that colleges are not developing the kind of QBs the NFL needs. Maybe the NFL will adjust to accommodate the scrambling read/option kind of guys the big colleges seem to want, but you just don't see that many big tall stand in the pocket passers in college these days. I'm really not sure why not... Andrew luck killed it at Stanford back when it was still really hard to win in the Pac 10.

Funny thing is that Drew Brees was a dual threat QB coming out and considered a system QB.

He had a learning curve coming into the league because of that.

I would trade him if you could too the browns only if they have is two number ones and two more picks. Trade up in draft get Marcus marriota and build your team around him. If the money is free up sign demarco Murray and run the ball down teams until Marcus has grown a little.

And they used to sit your arse on the bench for 3 years as a QB to get up to speed.
Now its pretty much a given that a 1st rounder should see some playing time in his first year.

Give Ryan that defense and see what happens. Having a great defense makes the offensive gameplan and the QBs responsibility a lot easier.

Ive seen Carolina defense get lit up countless times through the years.

Even if you come out on the positive side of the equation (not likely), you could still be left with an average QB that is going to demand big money either way a few years down the line.

It is better to go for 3-6th round looking for QBs IMO. I'd rather go for the diamond in the rough and start using our draft picks for more sure things: offensive line, defensive line, and linebackers.

As if listening to twitter posts wasn't enough now it's listening to twitter posts and giving them credit because someone else follows them

Yeah that's also true. Are Rodgers and Brady the only current elite QBs who sat for a period of time? I think so, right?

Ok? and when that happens, they usually get blown out. It is a pretty regular occurrence

When they win games, their defense plays well --> see 2013 when they gave up 15 points/game. Atlanta has given up 28 and 26 over the last 2 seasons

Might as well take Josh Gordon off their hands too while we are at it. Have him when comes back after next season.

Although I think Brees is a great QB, does anyone else think that he was brought to HOF status by Sean Payton?

Maybe Payton could take an average QB could and elevate him to an above average QB that could win some games.

I'd like to add that I think Brees getting traded to the Browns is borderline retarded.

Give Cam Julio Jones and Roddy White and watch what happens.
He'll overthrow them like he does big arse Benjamin? And then look at them like it's their fault to play it off?

Cam is a good(not great) overall QB but he VERY much struggles on deep throws.

Ryan has better accuracy and more pocket awareness but checks down way too much. Also a good but not great QB.

I didnt bring up the team success argument, you did. The Falcons have explosive weapons all over the field while Cam has had to do everything by himself. Give Cam some weapons and his overall numbers would increase substantially. I dont think yall realize how much of a luxury it is to be able to throw the ball up for grabs to a player like Julio Jones.

There was nothing maddenesque about identifying holes on the team, addressing them, then addressing QB.
