Thanks, Jindal.
Interesting comment.
Blaming Jindal for following the law when it comes to state budgeting.

The rankings are a huge joke and are just a money grab. I'm surprised people actually care.

That's your only 2 options? Quite the geographical split there sir.
Those really are odd choices when taken together.

No SULC? Complete bull shite.
I know, my lawyer from SU got my 4th DWI erased from my record because he goes fishing with the judge. SU is #1 in my book.

Bama at #22 Roll Tide! We comin for you Vanderbilt.

I suspect part of that drop is because the LC is formally merging into the main campus (it had been a separate college that was autonomous in its administration).

That site lists LSU as being $40k per credit for out of state. Obviously that should be per semester, but I hope they took better care with their actual number crunching.

Yeah, I have family in Seattle. It's the only two places I really considered going.

I would rather eat a bullet than hang a crimson A in my office.

Don't despair, most of the other rankings will have UGA ahead. Above the Law likely will, and it's probably the best ranking out there.

Eh, I went to a rival for law school and it was fine. We lost all 3 years, but

Nice. On the one hand, you seem all faux religious with your Fatima crap, and on the other hand, you're racking up the DWIs. You sound, um, smart.

I'm actually going to law school next year and am accepted into UW in Seattle and LSU and the whole budget cuts thing at LSU is making me actually consider leaving the state.
Are the coming cuts supposed to hamper LSU even further? It's ridiculous that our state continues to cut education funding despite already being near-last in the category.
I wouldn't worry about the cuts. However, the only reason one should go to LSU is if they want to practice law in the state of Louisiana, and preferably not in New Orleans (one would be better off with a Tulane degree, or maybe even a Loyola one, for NOLA). Louisiana's unique legal code puts it in an odd spot. Getting a legal education in Louisiana is pretty much only useful in the state (although Tulane has more of a focus on nationwide applicability), but a legal education outside of the state is mostly useless in state.
That's why rankings are kind of meaningless for Louisiana Law Schools.

To be fair, it's an existing school that we just bought last year and are about to dump a truckload of money into. But that will take 10 years or more to impact significantly.
