Correct. People tend to forget when they talk about the struggles of inequality (whether it be race, gender, or religion) that it usually requires a white christian man to get it done. Ironic isn't it.

You need some of the very people who tend to dominate the power structure in order enact change?

I think they should put their money where their mouth is. Combine the two leagues. Why not? Don't we all win in that case? Oh that's right, because the NBA would cease to exist in 5 years.

The NBA has always been light years ahead of the NFL, NHL, and MLB for inclusion and diversity.

You'd think Goodell would learn a thing or 2 from Silver

Why is it in high school that girls can play boys sports, but a boy can't play volleyball or softball on a girls team?

How many times does that happen? And even if it does, it's high school sports. Who cares?

People fret over the dumbest things.

Nobody is fretting over it. It's simply a question.

We've had girls play golf, wrestle, play football, and possibly play baseball at my school. And it's a small school. Why can't a boy play volleyball, which is also a man's sport?

Nah, the NBA would be the exact way it is now because no woman would make a D-League roster, let alone an NBA one.

Because the boy would dominate. We know that.

I get that there's an inconsistency. And my point is, who cares? I'm vastly more concerned about boys falling behind girls in K-12 education then I am about whether a girl can be on the wrestling team. These small things will sort themselves out.

Hopefully you're joking. They have to earn the same money to get paid the same. A league that nobody really cares about and I highly doubt is profitable is NOT going to pay the same as a very successful league. Thanks for playing though.

I am joking. I'm sick and tired of this crap. The league is a joke

And studies have been done that show that school is geared towards girls and does not engage boys, and that's why they fall behind.

So if we want to have a discussion about "equality", we should start with the inequality in the classroom.

Not my problem. Most people that work in a company don't know how much someone else is making. If I'm happy with my pay what difference does it make what the guy sitting next to me is making? If he out negotiated me in his salary talk, kudos to him. Now, gfy

Disagree. It usually takes getting a white Christian man out of the way to get it done. See Lilly Ledbetter Act.
