Where were you on Feburary 26th 1993? -- First Trade Center Bombing

Strange how the significance of the attack was never in our minds in the 90's as much as other attacks of the decade.
Al Qaeda's first attempt at taking down the towers, and unfortunately they were successful in their second.
Now we live in an almost constant anticipation of terrorism. Strange how dates that seem insignificant and are often forgotten are keynotes in our History.
Though not 9/11 I just wanted to pay respects to the six dead and thousands injured in the "forgotten" terror attack on this nation.

I have no idea. I was in middle school or something.
Honestly, I didn't even know about this attack till after Sept. 11th.

I was picking lint outta my belly button.
I was a young'n.
But old enough to tirelessly pursue belly button lint.

Junior in high school.. Wasn't really considered a huge deal in my surrounding world.. Odd to think how much the psyche of most Americans has changed but not due to that attack. The level of intrusion, the general relationship between governmental authority and citizens has deteriorated to dangerous levels from local to fed. The greatest battle that Al Queda won was the release of freedoms and a paranoia that persists between citizens and its government.
