Did these egg boats during the holidays when feeding a lot of family. Used longer pieces of french bread and it was easy to do a few at a time rather than trying to cook eggs for everyone to order.

croissants from Sams, cut in half, add jam or ham,sausage, boudin out of the casing, whatever you can imagine. Put top and bottom together and press in a waffle iron on medium as croissants burn easily and voila. Yes IHOP has started advertising these but my GKids have loved them for years. Just don't overstuff or cook at too high temp.
