'12 Gausman 12-2, 2.77ERA, 135k in 123 2/3ip, .229opp. avg.
'13 Nola 12-1, 1.57ERA, 122k in 126ip, .188opp. avg.
'14 Nola 11-1, 1.47ERA, 134k in 116ip, .172opp. avg.

I'd love to see another year with stats like that from 1 guy.

Friday has been an automatic for 3 straight years. That's sick numbers. Wow

Nola was such a beast. Marshall would have been that guy, but he didn't have the chest

Hell you shouldn't even need the stats to prove it. Knowing you only have to score a few runs every Friday to get a W is a good feeling.

I have very high expectations for Lange and Latz.

I don't think anyone will come close to Nola though, he was just plain filthy and had the old ball.

Not trying to be a negative arse here but I think this team will have a lot of growing pains with pitching this year. I see tons of potential with the young guys. They're going to be special the question is when? I could see this team getting super hot at the end of the season when it matters and make a run at Omaha or just tank it due to inexperience with the young guys.

I think Omaha expectations are a little high even with our experienced bats. It will depend on how fast the younger bullpen develops and if our previous pitching class has developed any. If we make it to Supers I'll be very happy this year.

Nola was a rare special talent. I don't think we're going to see someone that dominant for awhile.

Don't need stats to tell me we've been spoiled by those 2...

They were and are GREAT.

The guy I see as closest to Nola physically is Norman. His fastball has great movement and as with Nola he seems to have the "throws too many strikes" freshman problem.
