My sister mentioned coming to visit for a mini vacation. She asked if there were any fun things to do here

I mentioned the museums of natural science, fine arts and the Holocaust. She was not amused

She'll probably bring my 5 year old niece, so I guess kid friendly stuff. All I can think of is schlitterbahn in Galveston

I was like surely we have fun stuff to do here in a city of 5 million people that's supposed to be so great. I mean, Nola has the aquarium, insectarium and other cool kids places

Maybe Nola >>>>> Houston

Broken record but children's museum is best I have seen and zoo is pretty cool. Unique experience would be to go to Brazos bend park and walk the paths - will see a ton of gators all around you. (And sometimes on te trail). Pretty neat. You pass George ranch on the way if you go Sugar Land route if cowboy stuff is of interest

Houston Zoo Exhibit - Scoop on Poop

This is no joke. Houston Zoo actually has an entire exhibit dedicated to shite. Saw the billboard yesterday on 45N and lmao

let me know how that goes.

but seriously. the aquarium downtown is for kids that age. NOLA aquarium makes it look like a port-o-let though. can't think of anything else at the moment.

Kemah Boardwalk (tourist trap but still fun for the kids)
Pleasure Pier in Galveston
Houston Zoo
Downtown aquarium
Memorial City Mall play area for the kid
Children's Museum
Bayou Wildlife Park in Alvin
Depending on when they are coming, a Skeeters or Astros Game
The Rodeo (shite ton of fun stuff for kids and adults during the day)
Space Center Houston

Come on, there is a ton to do in the Houston metro area.

Houston has an aquarium. The Houston zoo has insects plus an exhibit huge insect models ("Extreme Bugs").

Houston also has the Kids museum which is supposedly like crack for kids.

When are they coming? There are a bunch of sporting events to go see if she likes soccer, baseball, etc.

Or maybe try googling "Houston Kids Activities" and find the page fricking called Houstonkidactivities.com

But instead you came to the OT and posted to get attention. And then, just in case your subject did not get enough attention, you added

Maybe Nola >>>>> Houston

to hopefully get even more attention.
