This skill set seems to be of high demand and low supply. Can the OT point me in the direction of locating an operator for a 4 to 5 month assignment in the Greater NOLA area?

I can operate a crane if you give me a 12-pk and a few hours to get familiar with the equipment

I'd be willing to give it a shot.
Sounds like fun.

Shoot, I can do it.
Lemme Google up on that skillset right quick.
'Bout how lenient are y'all on the whole drug and alcohol deal?

We can't hire enough crane operators.

Never ran a tower crane, very experienced on gantries and very heavy bridge cranes.
What is the motor and control set up on those? I realize I am not qualified to operate that, but was curious about the set-up, is it electric with electronic controls, or strictly a friction rig?

I'm told it's even harder to find one that can even pass a drug test.

Haven't you noticed all the crane operators died in the "Strange Deaths" thread.
Posted on 2/19/15 at 3:07 pm to 4LSU2
When will it start? I'm a gantry and bridge crane operator and working on my tower crane license.

Call B&G. They'll send a crane with an operator.
