We don't have that many 5 star prospects at qb in la.
Everyone with eyes that watches college football knows we are and have been weak at this position.

Just seems this kid would have been A plus priority for this staff... And it very well may have been.
The fact that's he's been here for 2 years is meaningless.
I mean if he was from miss and a die hard ole miss fan since birth I get it... Outside that I don't understand.

Id like to see LSU really go after the Dwayne Haskins kid, now. He's pretty darn good and seems to like LSU.

Wish the kid the best. Hope he becomes the next Robert Lane.

Yep. Kind of like New Orleans isn't a part of Lousisiana because it is in its on little world. Or Lake Charles because it is too close to TX. Well Monroe, no it's a part of MS. So the new state map only really incudes: Alexandria, Winnfield, Lafayette, Baton Rouge and all points in between.

First off, the point was he isn't from Louisiana. He has only been living in the state for 2 years. Secondly, he is no where near the LSU campus. He he had been going to Catholic High or UHigh the past couple years then it would be a bigger deal.

Secondly, everyone knows South Louisiana and North Louisiana are two totally different places. Nobody from South Louisiana would really miss it if we lost the very top part of the state. I'm sorry if that hurts your feelings.

LSU did hire his brother. They just wouldn't offer or make promises to his brother about an on field coaching position.

Ole Miss would/did.

No it's not. Your expectations on landing the kid were not realistic simply because he was currently going to high school at a school in Shreveport. We already have a top QB committed so Shea wasn't a class-saving must have.

Point being, he was never ours to lose. He could have gone anywhere. Living in Shreveport for two years did not give LSU an advantage.

Dude stfu.
North la has done more than it's share for LSU through the years.

If we could only speak some Derp dribble, own white rubber boots and not grow past 5'3 maybe we could all appreciate south la more.

Did we not get his brother here last year? It's pretty hard to sign 2 QB's that are tops at their respective designation.

Can't believe you actually believe living in Shreveport for 2 years was supposed to give LSU an advantage in recruiting someone. Hell it probably hurt us more than helped.

I'd like to have seen him play at LSU as well, but I cannot blame him for not coming to a program that has shown mediocre QB development in recent years (sans 2013).

Well Ole Miss has shown zero QB development in over a decade so I guess....that's....better???? Is this bizarro world? Why do people keep saying this stupid stuff?

Because he's "five star" LSU should have automatically made him a priority over another highly touted qb that showed more interest in LSU to begin with?

That's not a winning strategy.

Why are harping on Shreveport so bad?
You don t think it's full of LSU fans, alumni and influence?

If it truly was a package deal, we're better off without the circus that would have likely ensued. A QB controversy with a family member on staff would have been a shitshow. And if they were making demands before the kid committed, they would have kept making demands once he got on campus. Sometimes a kid is not worth the baggage he brings, no matter how talented.
