They will play 5a in everything besides football, and Division I in football

No, the LHSAA in their infinite wisdom allows all divisional sports to stay the same, but all classification sports will be moved up. Football for privates is a divisional sport that is classified like the classification system though.

The Patriots' and Eagles' boys and girls basketball, baseball, softball and outdoor track teams, as well as football, will all compete in Louisiana's highest classification in the the LHSAA for the 2015-16 and 2016-17 school years.

No Calvary? Aren't they the new Evangel?
Posted on 2/11/15 at 1:37 pm to GhostofJackson
I have no idea why these 2 schools are still so feared.
Evangel is certainly not who they once were and Curtis is finally playing in a level playing field in the playoffs.

i think everyone better than us thinks they can beat Curtis in a good year and everyone worse than us still fears them...

They are playing in 2A. At least they will be joined by:
Notre Dame, Oachita Christian, West St. John, and St. Charles Catholic
Looking at the Districts proposed, and Country Day being put into a district with Newman, Riverside, St. Charles, West St. John......going to make Coach Woods consider expelling some kids ASAP.

The move puts Curtis into District 9-5A, also known as the Catholic League based on the LHSAA’s first classification plan released during the meeting.

Poor timing as they will get Calvary for Patterson's senior year.

There isn't a 5A in the private league.

South Lafourche moved down to 4A

20 years too late for me to give them any props. they ducked the Catholic league in its glory days.
