The reason I brought this subject up, I saw this. Julianne Hough went to a Halloween party dressed as "Crazy Eyes" from "Orange is the New Black".

She is dressed as a character, not poking fun at an entire race of people, and she caught a lot of shite for it.

Yes, the reasoning behind why blackface was offensive is lost on many.

It does lead to some funny moments, like when my friend painted his face black to be an Ipod shadow when those commercials were on.

Black people kept giving him the look on Carlotta.

It's not black face, that's covering yourself with makeup. Not the same thing. People are stupid if they act offended.

This instance is not offensive. It is offensive when people do it and add cultural stereotypes to the costume in an attempt to be funny/clever.
