Does it annoy you when people primarily identify themselves as single mothers?

I mean, really, who gives a shite? That's not who you are as a person. And it's so widespread these days that it basically means nothing
A girl helped me take out my trash. I asked her if she'd lived in the apartments long. She said "since November, I'm a single mother."
how was that relevant? She then proceeded to tell me how trashy she is for the next 15 minutes

Single mothers are extremely expressive because they are constantly trying to convince themselves and everyone else that the baby is the best thing to ever happen to them.

The phrase "single mother" used to annoy me as the usage was intentionally ambiguous, meant to blur the line between "divorced" mother and "never married" mother
But now that nobody gives a shite about unmarried mothers - - 80% of all black mothers are unmarried -- it's just another example of archaic morality

I hate hearing how most of them call themselves single moms while the dad is still very prevalent in the child's life and helping pay the bills. To me a single mom is someone with a kid that the father isn't in the picture and gets no assistance from him.
