Pathfinder is a wasted school plus the instructors are tab protectors. Every time I was sent out to help set up LZ's pilots always flew over and no go them. It always came down to pilots comfort and not the Pathfinder expertise.

We use to have the AF FAC's do all that anyway because of just what you describe. Plus I liked them anyway cuz they had all the cool com gear to call back home. We became friends real quick.

No, I went to school in TN. I know unbeweavable did LSU ROTC, I spoke with him on the phone awhile ago (he probably doesn't remember) for info on how to get my younger brother in the LSU program.

Wow, you sound bitter. Pathfinder came in handy down range.

Yeah you are right CCT but we did have a air control guy attached from time to time depending on where we were at the time.

Nah dude not bitter at all. I was not even a Pathfinder. I was with 10th mtn. LRSD so we had Pathfinders. The school is not justified in real world operations.

Yes it is, trust me. I and many others used those skills down range. It's especially useful when retrograding an AP, DSP, or FOB or building one.

I don't need to trust you. I was there as well and know. And most of what you're saying sounds suspect. That is a lot of training and a deployment to only be in for 3 years.

Like I said before, you sound bitter. You obviously don't know if you continue to say the school doesn't justify real world operations. I went to airborne in 2011, pathfinder in Sept 2012, air assault in 2013, ranger in 2013, deployed in 2014. Nothing about it is suspect for an 11A.
