Hot water heater question

I have a gas water heater supplying hot water to 2 beds and 2 baths. Had the hot water turned on and it was fine for the first 10 minutes and then the water turned cold. Checked the pilot light and burner and both are fired up. Everything seems to be intact but there's no hot water going to any of the hot faucets. Any thoughts on what might be the problem?
TIA

What size heater? How old is it? Was it working fine for a while and this just happened?

Why do you need hot water in 2 beds?
If it's only giving you 10 minutes of water, it's probably full of sediment.

Did you check the rotator splint? And before you ask.. yes, hot water heaters have rotator splints
