Stop calling that a-hole "Ryno". He is no longer worthy of his nickname of endearment.
So he is playing poorly so he is an a-hole?

bullshite. I'm not even able to watch Fox Sports New Orleans all the time and I live an hour east of the city.

Thoughts?
yep, I'd pull the trigger on this. Frye can do what Ryno does and you get some depth pieces. also, haven't seen much of harkless but seems like hes fallen out of the rotation in orlando, no? Is he playing poorly or is Tobias Harris just ballin?

They are disappointed in him, specifically his lack of motor. I wouldn't do this trade, I think Frye and Ryno are comparable enough, but it locks you into a longer deal on an older player (Frye is 31), and Harkless has been overrated from day 1 IMO. I've always thought he'd be Ariza at best and will take as long to develop as Ariza did. Ariza didn't really breakout until his 5th year in the league. I think I'd rather Dante and Pondexter as my backup SFs. They already have good defense, competent enough offense, and high motor.

And I'm not saying Ryno isn't valuable or teams don't want him. I'm saying his stock is a little low right now so he would probably not be worth as much in a trade at this time as he was last year.
Plus he was coming off a serious injury, and his shot isn't like it was the year before... so I'm sure teams wonder if he will ever be the same.

If that is the case on Harkless then yea probably a useless trade. nice info, thanks.

You think NBA teams only scout players they can watch on local cable? haha
League Pass fits within their budget.

Omer Asik and Gyno Anderson and 2nd for Brook Lopez
Why the Pellies would do this trade: Get rid of Sir Mopes A Lot and Haji No Hands for a better-fitting center who has an extra year to run with AD and the Pellies new coach
Why the Nets would do this trade: Gain an "elite shooter" whose emo personality would fit in wonderfully in Brooklyn. An expiring in Omer so they can try and woo some major free agents next season. Arguably a better deal than OKC offers if they view Asik as a potential re-sign. Can flip Telatovic while his stock is at an all-time high or keep him as a super sniper sub. Also you don't help put OKC over the top in their title quest this way. Asik and Anderson are about as "plug and play" as you can get and this arguably improves the Nets for the rest of this year, where they are not out of the playoff mix yet. Making the playoffs and getting 2 or 3 home playoff games versus not making the playoffs is easily worth $5-$8 million extra in box office for a team that charges what Brooklyn charges for tickets.

Yep, we need another player who is injured more than healthy, plays no defense, rebounds poorly for his position and takes touches away from your best player. Sign me up!

We need to be moving up and down the court, not standing around watching Tyreke play "bull in china shop" for 1/2 our possessions.
This would allow us to open things up and we'd be a defensive 3 (Ariza-type guy or even Q-Pon if he plays smarter) and a super sub away from being able to scrap with most any team in the league.
There will always be injury risks - how can you criticize Lopez when 80% of our our damn rotation (Holiday, Evans, AD, Anderson, Gordon) has missed significant time themselves over the past 2 seasons? Anthony has arguably taken us out of realistic playoff contention over the past 10 days because he didn't demand to play through a damn bruised toe
Holiday
Gordon
Pondexter
Davis
Lopez
Tyreke Evans
Free Agent
Wolters (whom I like)
Babbit
Free Agent
Salmons

That's a good post.
I almost included a BroLo proposal in the OP.
Just didn't see a Ryno fit on their team with them having Mirza.

And if we can resign EG for a 7/8 mil/year deal I will be okay with it. There's no denying the guy can shoot the ball, he just has to stay healthy. His contract is terrible but I can live with if we get him for half the price.
Maybe I'm wrong but I just don't see Eric Gordon wanting to stay in New Orleans. I know it's such a cliche at this point, but he's never seemed happy here, he always flees back to LA or Indiana at the first chance he gets, etc.

His point is that we already have that, we don't need more of it.

We're 2-2 over that stretch.

Selective perception.

I think Teletovic and Anderson could coexist but agree there's definitely some redundancies there. We all know the NBA is musical chairs and asset collecting/swapping, so maybe they could buy low and sell high with Gyno and Mirza.
I have no idea who their GM is or what their philosophy is - just that they're obviously in major transition right now.

Same could be said for 3 years of Gordon bashing or vitriol directed at Monty.
