It got me thinking of the various answers to this insanely stupid interview question. I'm in sales though so I like to hear other people's creative answers to this

One of the lowest points of my life is the fact I actually was in an interview where this question was asked.

Sell me this pen

Me: You want me to sell you this pen?
Schmuck: Yes.
Me: I can't sell you this pen unless it's mine. Are you giving me this pen?
Schmuck: Yes. Try to sell it to me.
Me: Thank you for the pen [puts in jacket pocket].
Schmuck: You don't get it, you have to sell me the pen.
Me: No I don't. You said it's mine. I like it. It's a really nice pen.
[Schmuck pissed that you won't sell him pen. He really wants that pen.]
[Interview Concludes after more dumbshit questions from Schmuck]

[Write thank you note to Schmuck using pen. Thank him for interview and very nice pen. Mention that you used it to write thank you note]

[Schmuck is now really peeved. He'd do anything to get that pen.]

[Send rehabilitated drug addict to Schmuck's house with pen and a box exactly like it. Have him read off some schpiel about how he's trying to get his life turned around selling pens for $5 and show Schmuck a list of all of his neighbors buying same kind of pen. Schmuck is impressed, knows he's been got, and buys pen. Drug addict gets crack. You get job].

[Show up day one and compliment Schmuck on pen. Tell him its just like the one he gave you. Show him pen he gave you.]

[Schmuck realizes he hired you even though you didn't sell him "the pen" but rather one like it for ridiculous markup.]

[You own Schmuck's balls forever. When you get promoted...fire his dumbass].

My pen is bigger than your pen. You have pen envy now. Buy mine and solve your current dilemma.

Or do you just want the tip? Sold separately.
