OT help: Quickest way to get a passport

Call your congressman

i think there is a website. it will be super expensive though. i looked into it awhile back. dont remember the site but just do some googling.

When I was living in BR, I drove to the State Department office in New Orleans and got it the same day. The whole process took 3-4 hours.

Via Google through an agency it's 8 days.

You're screwed. The minimum wait for a passport right now is 45days. If you were getting a TWIC card it would be 90 days minimum. A congressman can grease the wheels some, but you have to be annoying and "remind" them several times.

drive to New Orleans passport office and stand in line with cash money.

1. Go to the passport office in New Orleans at Canal Place in the morning.

2. Pay an assload of money in fees.

3. Hang out in New Orleans for a few hours. Spend more money on that than the fees.

4. Walk away with new expidited passport.





It's a huge pain but you can in fact get a same-day passport. Firsthand knowledge here. Woke up to leave for St. Lucia, checked passport thinking it was good through 2015....it had expired 3 days earlier.

Go to courthouse with all necessary documents: state issued photo id, your social security card, and your birth certificate (no copies of anything).

Then fill out the passport form, and request your password to be expedited.

Not super hard.
