Per 247 poster, TIFWIW. Occured last night.

Schiano's Wiki Page

quote:

Schiano served as defensive coordinator for the University of Miami from 1999 to 2000. In 1999, UM finished the year ranked 12th in the NCAA's Division I-A in points allowed per game (17.2), and in 2000 moved up to 5th (15.5 points allowed per game). His brief 18 month stint at Miami and his roots in New Jersey made him a candidate for his next position as head coach at Rutgers University.

While at the University of Miami, Schiano coached: NFL Pro Bowlers Dan Morgan, Jonathan Vilma, and Ed Reed.

He has an impressive resume, and his short run at Miami as DC was incredible. Is this realistic?

ETA: It looks like this was posted by a user. While this hurts the credibility, most of the details for Cam Cameron a couple years ago came from 247 posters, so TIFWIW.

I'm so confused that he hasn't gotten any head coach hires. He'd probably only be there for a year, but it'd be a huge hire.

Does he interview that poorly for HC jobs or is he just holding out? I really thought he would have a job by now.

Would be a great hire but also would make BeBe a MUST. Shiano has no southern recruiting ties or atleast I doubt he does

I would take this. Better than the options we have left.

If we can't get CP, I will take him. Best name mentioned/rumored since CP.

If Les pulls this off, it would be nothing short of amazing, espcially considering this competition:

quote:

Pro: Vacancies
San Francisco (Jim Harbaugh left for Michigan)
Oakland (fired Dennis Allen)
NY Jets (fired Rex Ryan)
Bufallo (Doug Marrone stepped down)
Atlanta (fired Mike Smith)
Chicago (fired Marc Trestman)
