Have a Browning Bar and love it. Recoil is non-existent and follow up shots are quick if needed. Heavy gun though.

Unless you're gonna be doing a lot of walking, a good AR-10 in .308 is an outstanding semi-auto. But they are heavy (or at least mine is).

Mine is the most accurate rifle I've ever owned. (I don't claim to be any good as a bench rest shooter, so I count 1/2 MOA as pretty good when I'm shooting a rifle.)

Assuming you already have an AR-15, the extra benefit is a common manual of arms.
