How is the golf business in your area?

Shreveport/Bossier has seen decreased business and some courses shutting down. And it can't be the economy because it's been very stable.

Around 100 18 hole equivalents were lost in the last year.

I know someone who was a PGA member. He walked away in 2008 because he was starting to see signs of decline. Turns out he was right.

Says it was the best decision he's ever made. A lot of those pro's struggle

Golf courses are doing okay-ish in Arizona. Top Golf (range) is booming right now though.

Buisness is down, but we have great public courses in NE Ohio. Check out Sleepy Hollow in Breckville and Fowlers Mill in Chesterland to name just a few. I probably have a dozen courses within a 15 minute drive.

Leisure time has been eaten up by working longer hours for the same amount of discretionary income. Simply no time to swing the sticks.
