...that may be one of the worst examples of "under 4 minute" coaching last night I have seen in years. On both sides.

Bama's stuff has been debated. Meyer going with the long pass was unreal. That one play gave Bama another 40 seconds by itself.

Oh - and WHAT THE HELL is up with the REFS standing over the ball with a ticking clock (both game clock AND play clock) in the waning moments of a game.

Coaches need to start teaching centers to shove the ref out of the way and snap the ball.

Offensive subs. Refs have to give defenses time to sub as well

I wasn't necessarily for Bama but I kept wondering where their sense of urgency was. We all know that Bama is capable of scoring in the last 2 minutes or so and they DO! What was with the lollygagging walking up to the LOS?

What about Briles coaching ? Teams have to have balance. You can't just throw 60x and win. You have to be able to run the ball. That's why I like our team. But, we have to be able to throw the ball also. We need at leas 200+ passing per game

Yeah, they bad coached themselves all the way into the Playoffs.
I'll take either one of those gameday coaches over ours any day of the week.

Has it? 7 straight 10 win seasons (sec record); 3 titles since 2009. Their down years in 2013 and 2014 saw them reach consecutive sugar bowls and win one SEC title.

Are correctly pointing out that the highest paid staff in CFB just went 8-5 and set back offensive football about 40 years.

No doubt that Meyer should not have thrown 3 times from the 5 yard line or that long pass on 1st down.
However, when LSU got down 14 -0 on 1/12 against AL, that game was Done and Over with. Last night, Meyer came storming back and won the game.
Think it shows that even the best coaches make mistakes at crucial times and in big games.

LM's gaffes in te 2 minute drill were way worse than what we saw last night.

Excellent post. We got beat by an unranked Notre Dame team giving us our 5th losss of the season, but because Bama got outcoached and outplayed by the 4th ranked team in the country in the PLAYOFFS it's comparable and the LSU fans are over reacting to the situation of our program? Got it..

In 2012 LSU passed the ball up and down the field against Bama, and then with 2 minutes left went ultra-conservative and didn't pick up the final first down. Bama marched down the field and won the game.

The 2014 Bama defense was awful against the deep ball. Ohio State, other than one run, had about 3 yards rushing on the previous 9 attempts. Urban was playing to win!

While they had some coaching issues last night...they were still in the Playoffs. We went 8-5 and lost to a struggling Notre Dame team in the Music City bowl. The only thing we solidified in the Music City bowl was that Les still cannot manage the clock, our QB play has not improved, and LF will carry our offense.

I was not aware that a game played on 1 Jan 15 could have so much direct impact on a team whose last game of the season was played on 30 Dec 14.

OH, WAIT! IT DOESN'T !

You Pumpers are in your glory today, as if Bama's loss is a complete vindication of Coach Miles !
