It also seem that Payton and Ryan were in a few heated arguments and don't see eye to eye.

no fricking way, in fact he'll be his brother's coordinator in Atlanta so it will be a mutual split to cover for the fact he's getting shitcanned

He shouldn't. He has been horrendous this year, even with a healthy roster.

I'd keep him. Defense hasnt been the problem this year.

I think he sticks around. The defense was decimated by injuries, so it's hard to say it was all RR's fault that the defense sucked. Plus, the D got a little better the last couple of games. If the D is awful again next season, he's gone for sure.

I don't see why not. He proved what he could do with a healthy defense last season and nearly 3/4s of what he expected to have in the secondary was out for the season. Now if they perform like that again next season with everyone back, then I'll start to admit they need some blame.

But once again and I'll keep saying it as many times as I need to. How about some blame for the fricking offense that was only able to drive any field distance one time in the entire game? Had they not been handed the ball on the 1 yard line, we probably get waxed again by at least 30-7 or worse.

I think you have to keep him unless it was his idea to conduct the massive purge that led to the D shitting the bed this year.

My understanding is that it was Payton/Loomis orchestrating personnel maneuvers, so ryan gets a pass. Plus consistency will help. Last year proves the guy knows what hes doing.

Payton needs to look in the mirror before he decides to fire anyone.

Given the injuries and salary differential of the healthy players, the offense was much more of a disappointment than the defense.

He deserves to be fired.

Not sure if it will happen, but my fingers are crossed it happens next week after the Bucs game.

Based on his performance this year he should've been fired after Week 10. The way they kept pissing away leads at the end of games was devastating.

Does he deserve to keep his job at the end of the season? I say no. Will he? Probably.

The Saints defense has nothing to do with the DC. There is no talent on that unit. Nothing but a bunch of lazy, careless, no effort check collectors.

I think he should stay, D had alot of injuries. Not fair for him to be scape goat when the O was just as trash.
