The inconvenient truth is that stop and frisk worked. Unfortunately the truth can't always be politically correct.

Nice try. You're trying to backtrack and revise your statement now, but you said he was not in any sort of headlock and was handcuffed according to routine procedure. Fail.

Sometimes the truth doest jive with the "we're always the victim" mentality

Just because something "worked" doesn't mean it is right. It's a blatant assault on civil rights.

Pretty good analogy. I like the part where you compared nurses, who help sick people, to NYPD, who molest people for being colored in white neighborhoods.

Being a black guy in a white neighborhood won't get them harassed. It's more about how someone looks aka dressing like a thug or gang member IMO. Any white kid walking down the sidewalk of middle/upper class neighborhood dressed like gangster will get questioned just like a black guy would. Not saying someone's clothes or appearance should be reasons for such, just saying that's how it is these days. Sorta like what Mark Cuban said about prejudice vs racism.

You stop suspicious characters and check them out.
Looking suspicious should not be enough to warrant a search by a government official.

That has nothing to do with this thread though.

Kind of hard to argue with the theory that if it's looks out of place, it probably is.

My exact post..no edit timeline on it
quote:

Eric garner died of an heart and asthma attack and while yelling i cant breath was not in any type of choke hold was just handcuffed on the ground which is standard.

The take down took all of 4 seconda...once he was detained on ground cops said hes good and choke was released....simple takedown move and procedure of a guy who may he considered a threat....and then i cant breath statements started.
Heres the video again if you dont billieve me.
and if youre gonna try to twist my words try to remember people can see my post and what i said is true

But is being questioned truly searching someone?

lulz I live in one of the only white neighborhoods in New Orleans. When I see a young black guy walking around my neighborhood in a suspicious manner, I definitely start paying attention; maybe even ask if they need directions if they look extra "lost". I know the statistics. That's not the same as paying police to violate people's rights for having a different skin color on a certain street. What the cops in NYC were doing wasn't giving caution and the dirty eye to suspicious characters, they were grabbing their crotches and emptying the pockets of hundreds of people. You need to crawl out of that bubble you've been living in where the dumbest, fattest people you know are paid to harass people for their skin color.

Well just because he had been arrested so many times they knew him by sight and his name. Also it appears he wasnt smart enough to understand what get on the ground meant.

Be careful a still picture will be posted and will be thought of as the choke that was never let go.
