NYPD cops shot execution style in Brooklyn

Two uniformed NYPD officers were shot dead — execution style — as they sat in their marked police car on a Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, street corner.
According to preliminary reports, both officers were working overtime as part of an anti-terrorism drill when they were shot point-blank by a single gunman who approached their car at the corner of Myrtle and Tompkins avenues.

Awful story, but I am sure the media will swing it another way. The widow or gf of the gunman will come out and say he was a good man. Then it will become about race, and then all hell breaks loose.

That's the issue too. You never know if a stop is routine. The cop may pull someone over for simply having a tail light out but the driver may be a felon with drugs and a weapon in the car. Or it may be a soccer mom. You never know.

And New Yorkers (and the general public) will wonder why they'll have more stop and frisk incidents and angst between civilians and law enforcement.
