Yeah. I was actually looking into this the other day and there is a formula used to calculate the new limits.

2014 limit is $117,000 as mentioned above and max SS Tax is $7,254 for 2014

Cap on the SSI portion - 6.2% - does not apply to the 1.45% medicare.

That's right. The medicare portion is still taken out
