America's five biggest theater chains have all dropped The Interview from their lineups after a group of anonymous hackers threatened violence against any theater caught screening the film. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Regal Entertainment, AMC Entertainment, Cinemark, Carmike Cinemas, and Cineplex Entertainment have all pulled the film, which was set to debut on Christmas Day; the movie's New York premiere, which was also threatened, was canceled on Tuesday.

ANYONE who went to see that on Christmas Day rather then Unbroken should have been shot on sight. For that reason alone, I wish they would have kept it.
But, since I plan to see Unbroken on Christmas Day I guess I'm safer

It's easier than having to monitor all those North Koreans that have been making their way into the US lately.

Its sad, but I guess I can't complain too much as I don't really go to the movie theater anymore. And I was in no way going to watch that movie.

im betting this is just a big marketing ploy. Everyone in the world is going to see this movie now.

This movie now has way more notoriety than before. But it'll be interesting to see how the theaters pulling it will impact the box office numbers even with so much media coverage.

We don't negotiate with terrorists.
We just let them decide which movies we watch.

We've got to be the biggest pussies of all time.
So next time, the trick is to threaten movie theaters for showing a flick more than 1 person dislikes and they'll can it?
Hope they burn down anyway charging $15/ticket anyway.

I have mixed feelings. I hate that the theater companies backed down - pussification of America. But, it was pretty stupid to have a movie about assassinating the leader of a country.

Oh well I was gonna bootleg it anyway
Theaters are a waste of money
